13:30 - 15:25 The Library Music Film (NL premiere)
16:00 - 18:10 Blaze
‘The Library Music Film’ is a quest for some of the most original, but largely unnoticed music ever recorded. In the documentary, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Shawn Lee tells the story of the mysterious world of Library Music, that has played an important role in lots of films, TV and radio shows. Currently, it inspires various musicians, producers and avant-garde experimentalists, as well as journalists and vinyl enthusiasts all around the world.
The film ‘Blaze’ is about the unsung songwriting legend Blaze Foley, a relatively obscure country singer who died in 1989. Foley was one of the pioneers of the Texas outlaw country music movement that spawned the likes of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and Townes van Zandt. The film was directed, co-written and co-produced by Ethan Hawke and premiered at the 2018 Sundance Festival.
