THUNDER ROAD (LIFF preview)

It’s time for Chasing Reels again to show you indiefilms that you would not have seen otherwise.
We are proud to present the Dutch premiere (as LIFF preview) of THUNDER ROAD. Written, directed and performed by Jim Cummings and based on the short film with the same title that he made and won 13 international awards.
Host and filmfan Cedric Muyres introduces the film. Tickets will be 10 euro, free for Cineville.

Thunder Road makes you cry and laugh at the same time. The film screened at Cannes, and at SXSW where it won the Grand Jury Award. It is a touching ‘dramedy’ that impressed from the jawdropping 10 mins opening shot. Police officer Arnaud loved his mom and comes to grips with a death of his mom when giving a heartfelt eulogy at her funeral.
This film will not be released in the Netherlands so don’t miss it!

Press on Thunder Road:
“a must-see and a studio should grab it right now if they know what they’re doing” - RogerEbert.com
“Funny, crazy, moving, indelibly authentic” - Variety
“SXSW Grand Jury Prize Winner is the fascinating portrait of a broken man” - IndieWire
